I came across this site from your previous post on weird animes so I already had a few movies to watch but now I can add Oliver & Company, Sky High, Meet the Robinsons, and The Black Cauldron (which I've been procrastinating about watching for the longest time - I don't know why) to that list. The Rescuers Down Under and The Great Mouse Detective were some of my favorites as a kid. I had also nearly forgotten about Pete, so thanks for the reminder.

Oh, c'mon. Shia LeBeouf is fine. He just shows up in a lot of bad movies. Plus, like Sarah said, it was Even Stevens that started his career. So not only was that stab at him harsh and unnecessary, it was historically inaccurate. This video had my love up until THAT moment.

Actually, Pete's history goes beyond Mickey Mouse: he was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit's first villains. That makes him even more important to the Disney villain society.

Also, Shia LeBeouf actually started his acting career with Even Stevens, so HAH.

I can't tell... Who's that in the back of the line on the title card?
Is that... is that ANSEM?!?

Percival McLeach's gun has a scope mounted on because it's either a slug gun or an express rifle. Normally shotguns have smoothbore barrels, but the can have rifled barrels as well for achieving more accuracy with slug loads like the brenneke rounds, in detriment of the usage of buckshot rounds (not recommendable at all for rifled shotguns). An Express, on the other side, is basically a double barrel rifle meant for shooting high caliber rounds meant for killing big game. Either way, the scope does have its purpose, it's not just for adding to the badass factor.

I like how your artist attempted to put Yzma into the title card, and even you put her into the starter montage IN SEVERAL PLACES, and yet she doesn't make the list. Oh, wait, no. I find it slightly annoying :I Movie's already underrated enough without getting such an awesome and hilarious villain glossed over. Not even an honorable mention? Dang, man.

Hey, Necro. I love your videos.
I have a movie that I think you should review... It's called Felidae. It's an animated movie about cats... but it's really not what you'd expect to see.

The original is in German but you can find the English dub online. I really think you should check this out....

Thank you very much. It seems that anime was actually reviewed by the necro-critic several videos ago. Totally my bad.

I love your videos, Necro! I didn't know "The Black Cauldron" but, damn, after watching this video I want to watch it so bad, a disney movey without songs and with undeads! Perfect.

BTW, what is the title of the anime at the middle bottom of the intro of this video? The one with the girl in yellow dress and the mutant.

I think its " call me tonight".

But dude, its not about how many super beings you kill, but how you kill them, and how slowly and painfully you do it.:D

Anyways awesome review. Disney used to be cool, but now Disney sucks balls.

Syndrome is underrated? As far as I can tell, he's held in pretty high regard. Guess we hang out at different message boards.

Besides that, amazing list. Reminded me of the classic Disney movies I had just sort of forgotten about. Hell, you even gave me a newfound respect for Sky High--I thought it was pretty crappy when I first saw it, but thinking about it in the context of the Silver Age makes it seem almost kinda clever. I wasn't a huge comics fan when I first saw the film, so the idea honestly never occurred to me.

Really, Ratigan's villain song and the wind-up queen are the only things I remember about Great Mouse Detective. I really need to go back and watch that movie again.
